Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City Receives Award - March 2010

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City was recently honored by the Arts Council for being the highest grossing campaign for the ArtsKC Fund in the large business category. Peter Yelorda, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City Executive Vice President of Community Affairs, accepted the award at a luncheon attended by community leaders.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City raised more than $25,000 for the ArtsKC fund. Seventy percent of money raised will go directly to artists and arts organizations. This is the second year in a row that Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City has been honored as the highest grossing campaign in the large business category.

The ArtsKC Fund is an annual fundraising campaign to raise stable sources of funding for more than 100 local arts organizations, arts programs and artists.
