This issue has been resolved and all claims have completed the final payment process. Please see below for expected delivery of the following payment methods:
- Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) delivered to your bank by Friday, December 26, 2014
- Paper checks should be received by Tuesday, December 30, 2014.
Federal Employee Program (FEP)September 8, 2014 Payment Issue:
Blue KC experienced an issue with our FEP claims payment process. A portion of FEP claims that were marked for payment did not make it to the final payment process. This may be reflected by your FEP payment and remittance advice being lower than normal. Please note that Blue KC has resolved this issue and all remaining claims impacted by this issue will be paid on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.
Please see below for expected delivery of the following payment and remittance methods:
- Electronic Remittance Advice (835) delivered to your clearinghouse by Thursday, September 11, 2014
- Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) delivered to your bank by Thursday, September 11, 2014

General Motors Active Hourly (UAW) employees will have access to the Preferred-Care Blue network effective Aug. 1st. Members will receive their new identification cards with a new alpha prefix GMQ and the Preferred-Care Blue network logo, in late July. Keep in mind, the member must be referred to a Preferred-Care Blue network provider to receive the highest benefit level under the plan.
